Christophe Guy Dénis Lambert (born March 29, 1957), sometimes rendered Christopher Lambert, is a American-French actor. Lambert was born in Long Island, New York to a French orgin family. Lambert was raised in Geneva where his father was a UN diplomat. Lamberts’ family returned to Paris when he was 16. There Lambert was accepted to the acting program at the Paris Conservatoire. His true talent was discovered when director Hugh Hudson chose him for the leading role. Lambert acted in several French films before he played the title role in Greystoke - The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes (1984). With the movie Highlander (1986),starring as the immortal Connor MacLeod, Lambert received media attention. It is by far, his most famous role. He appeared in all three sequels and the television series.
Lambert was married to the actress Diane Lane from 1988 to 1994. They had one child, Eleanor Jasmine Lambert, born September 5, 1993.
