Lara Flynn Boyle (born March 24, 1970) is an American actress born in Davenport, Iowa of mostly Irish descent. Boyle was romantically involved with Jack Nicholson for some time. She is thought by many to suffer from severe dyslexia. Due to her thin appearance, she has also been accused of having an eating disorder.
After starring in several movies such as Dead Poets Society and Wayne's World plus the critically acclaimed series Twin Peaks, Boyle finally got her break in the legal-themed series The Practice in 1997. She left the acclaimed series in 2002 after being nominated for an Emmy. In the fall of 2005, she joined the cast of NBC's Las Vegas.
